POLONIA CUP
The Polonia cup is a competition held once a year represented by 4 11-aside teams from Poland and asia. The teams are drawn out of a hat at the start to see who will play each
other then the 2 winners play each other for the cup. 7 players from St george were representing the Nottingham team and were drawn against a bunch of asains in the first game.
After going 1-0 down & not creating many chances polska nottingham started to take control of the game and early in the second half the asians were deservedly pegged back
to 1-1. It was going well for Pol notts but after terry shot wide from 1 yard and hubert hit the post with a penalty the game was heading for a penalty shootout
to decide which team played in the final. At 4-4 in the shootout it was down to Remi to make sure he kept us in the game but he shot just wide and the asians went into the final.
The 3rd place playoff was won 2-1 by polska notts but dissapointment loomed in the air collecting the trophy as it should have been first place.
